The Gift of Life Walk & Run (GOLWR) is back for its 25th anniversary!
The event brings together Lifebanc and its dedicated community of supporters in a celebration of life and generosity on Saturday, August 17th, at the Blossom Music Center.
Participants can choose between a 1 Mile Walk or a 5K Run, making it accessible for all fitness levels and ages.
GOLWR not only fosters community spirit, but also plays a crucial role in Lifebanc’s mission. Funds raised by registrants help provide donor families with essential grief support services, community education programs, and research initiatives that further the cause of organ and tissue donation.
One of the highlights of the event is the 2024 Legacy Garden, which will be open throughout the Walk & Run. The garden honors the lives that have been saved by donating organs or tissues.

There are some of the dates to keep in mind in the lead up to the event and afterward:
- Thursday, August 15th (4-7 p.m.): Pick up your T-shirt at the Lifebanc offices
- Friday, August 16th (7-10 a.m.): Another day to pick up your T-shirt
- Friday, September 6th: This is the final deadline for team fundraising.
- Friday, September 1st: This is the last day to pick up Legacy Garden signs from Lifebanc.

This is the schedule for the day of the event, which is August 17th:
- 7:30 a.m.: Blossom Gates Open
- 8:45 a.m.: Call for Runners
- 8:55 a.m.: Call for Walk Teams
- 9:00 a.m.: 5K Run Begins
- 9:15 a.m.: Fun Walk Begins
- 9:50 a.m.: Race Results
- 10:00 a.m.: Legacy Garden Ceremony
- 10:15 a.m.: Closing Ceremony
