Saturday, February 3rd – Cleveland Kurentovanje Festival

The Cleveland Kurentovanje festival has been celebrated in the St. Clair-Superior Neighborhood since 2013. The festival celebrates the end of winter and the beginning of spring.

This year the festival starts on Saturday, February 3rd and ends on Saturday, February 10th, with the main parade and festival. There will be plenty of food, drinks and performances celebrating Slovenian culture. This includes people dressed as Kurents, which are mythical creatures believed to chase winter away and usher in spring.
